Michigan Sex Offender Registry (Michigan State Police)
Glen Oaks Community College is committed to maintaining a safe, informed, and transparent campus environment for students, employees, and visitors.
In accordance with the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000, Glen Oaks Community College provides access to information regarding registered sex offenders through the Michigan State Police Sex Offender Registry.
Federal law requires institutions of higher education to advise the campus community where state-provided law enforcement information concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained. In Michigan, individuals convicted of certain sexual offenses must register with the Sex Offender Registry. The Michigan State Police is responsible for maintaining this publicly accessible database.
Members of the campus community may use the registry to obtain current information about registered sex offenders who live, work, or attend school in Michigan.
