Our Mission
To provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, faculty, visitors, and all those involved in the journey of higher learning.
Who We Are
The Campus Safety Office is staffed by individuals with law enforcement and security experience. This ensures a professional, trained, and responsive approach to campus safety.
Location
The Campus Safety Office is located just inside the main entrance in room A26. Look for the Campus Security sign.
Office Hours
Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Emergency Phones on Campus
Emergency phones provide a direct connection to St. Joseph County 911.
There are three emergency phones located across campus:
Blue Light Emergency Phone Boxes
- Main Concourse near The Viking Café
- Front Entrance hallway near the Administrative Offices

Student Parking Lot
These phones are clearly marked and available at all times.
Building Surveillance
Campus facilities are monitored to enhance safety and situational awareness.
- The main campus building includes interior and exterior cameras covering entrances, exits, hallways, the concourse, and parking areas.
- The Devier Student Suites include additional interior and exterior cameras monitoring entrances, exits, hallways, and lobby areas.
- The Baseball/Softball Sport Complex includes exterior camera monitoring the fields and the buildings.
Surveillance systems support safety response and are not continuously monitored in real time.
