Child Care Assistance Scholarship

This scholarship helps student-parents offset the cost of child care while attending classes at Glen Oaks. Awards are based on financial need and class schedule, making it easier to balance family and education.

Career Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship

This $500 annual scholarship supports high school seniors in CTE programs who plan to continue in the same field at Glen Oaks.

eSports Scholarships

The Glen Oaks Esports Scholarship is a flat-rate award available each semester to official varsity team members. It helps cover tuition, books, or fees—just for showing up, staying committed, and being part of the team.

Faculty Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement among returning Glen Oaks students. It supports full-time students who have completed at least 12 credit hours at GOCC with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Foundation Scholarships

The Glen Oaks Foundation offers a wide range of scholarships to support new, returning, and transfer-bound students. Awards consider more than grades—looking at financial need, community involvement, and career goals—to help cover tuition, books, and more.

Lifelong Learners Tuition Benefit

Glen Oaks offers St. Joseph County residents age 62+ a 50% tuition discount on credit courses—up to 18 credit hours per year. It’s a simple, affordable way to keep learning at any stage of life.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship

This state-funded scholarship provides significant tuition support for recent Michigan high school graduates attending an in-state college like Glen Oaks. Awards are based on financial need and do not need to be repaid.

This state program offers free tuition at Glen Oaks for recent Michigan high school graduates who meet eligibility requirements—making college more affordable, close to home.

Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver.

The Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver covers the full cost of tuition for eligible Native American students attending public colleges in Michigan. Students must be certified as members of a federally recognized tribe and meet state residency requirements.

Presidential and Dean Scholarships

High-achieving high school seniors in southern Michigan and northern Indiana may qualify for Glen Oaks’ top merit-based awards: the Presidential and Dean’s Scholarships. These scholarships recognize academic excellence and help cover college costs.

Q: Do I need to complete the FAFSA to receive scholarships?
A: Yes. Most scholarships require a FAFSA on file. Submit yours at studentaid.gov.

Q: Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
A: Absolutely. For many scholarships, only one application is needed. Check with Financial Aid for more details. 

Q: Are there scholarships for adult learners?
A: Yes. Michigan Reconnect and Foundation Scholarships are excellent options for adult and returning students.

Q: When is the deadline to apply?
A: Most scholarships open October 1 and close March 1 for the upcoming Fall/Winter semester. Be sure to check each scholarship's specific deadline.
