If you’re passionate about helping others and want to be part of something bigger, the Glen Oaks Student Ambassador Scholarship gives you the chance to lead. As a student ambassador, you’ll represent GOCC at campus tours, recruitment events, and community outreach—while developing real-world skills and earning a renewable scholarship.
Award Details
- Amount: $300 per semester
- Renewable: Up to 2 semesters
- Application Deadline: January 28, 2026, at noon
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to students who meet the following requirements:
- New students: Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
- Transfer or current students: Minimum 3.0 college GPA
- Enrollment: At least 6 credit hours per semester
- Participation:
- Attend a mandatory orientation and training
- Complete 15 hours of ambassador service each semester
What You’ll Do as an Ambassador
As a Glen Oaks Student Ambassador, you’ll be a leader on and off campus. Responsibilities include:
- Giving campus tours to prospective students and families
- Assisting with admissions and orientation events
- Supporting college fairs and community outreach
- Promoting GOCC’s mission to future students across southern Michigan and northern Indiana

Q: Do I need to be a full-time student to apply?
A: No. You must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester.
Q: Can I reapply after two semesters?
A: The scholarship is renewable for up to two semesters. After that, continued involvement
may be available through other leadership opportunities on campus.
Q: What kinds of events will I work?
A: You’ll support campus tours, new student orientation, recruitment fairs, and community
outreach events across our region.
Q: Will I get training?
A: Yes. All ambassadors must attend a mandatory orientation and training session at
the start of the semester.
