Lifelong Learning Tuition Benefit for Adults 62+
Glen Oaks offers a tuition discount for St. Joseph County residents age 62 and older. If you're eligible, you can take credit-bearing academic courses tuition-free—up to 18 credit hours per academic year. It’s one more way we make learning accessible for all ages in our community.
Who qualifies?
- Must be 62 years of age or older at the time of registration
- Must be a resident of St. Joseph County, Michigan
What’s included:
- tuition waived on eligible credit courses (up to 18 credit hours per year)
- Students must meet course entry requirements
- Courses must meet minimum enrollment without counting senior registrations
Additional Notes:
- The discount does not apply to non-credit courses, customized training, or workforce workshops
- Competitive or limited-enrollment programs such as Nursing and Allied Health are not eligible for this discount
- Lifelong learners pay all applicable course fees (online learning, registration, lab, tech, etc.)
Already enrolled under our former senior citizen tuition policy? You may remain eligible for a full tuition waiver for up to two years, excluding restricted programs.
