From checking your email and submitting assignments to managing tuition payments and planning your degree, everything is connected in one secure place. Whether you're a first-time student, a returning adult, or somewhere in between, these tools help keep you on track—anytime, anywhere.

At Glen Oaks Community College, we make it easy to access all the tools you need to succeed—whether you’re a first-time student, returning adult learner, or parent supporting a college-bound student.
Existing Users: SSO
Use your SSO Viking ID and password.
Be advised: if you haven’t updated your password recently you will be required to change it.

First-Time Users: Setting Up Your SSO Profile
Before you can access your GOCC student tools, you’ll need to activate your SSO (Single Sign-On) account. To get started, you’ll need:
What You’ll Need:
- Your 7-digit Student ID Number
- Your Viking ID
How to Create Your Viking ID:
Your Viking ID is made up of:
- The first initial of your first name
- Your full last name
- The last 3 digits of your Student ID
Example:
Name: Josh Hoberman
Student ID: 0054321
Viking ID = jhoberman321
How to Set Up Your SSO Account

Go to the SSO Login Page.

Click on the “Account Activation” link just below the Sign In button.

Follow the on-screen prompts to create your profile.
You’ll need your Student ID and Viking ID to complete setup.

When you log in through Glen Oaks Single Sign-On (SSO), these are the four platforms you’ll use most often as a student:

Canvas
Canvas is your online classroom. Use it to: view and submit assignments, check grades and feedback, take quizzes and exams, and stay connected with your instructors.
Login Reminder: Use your Viking ID as your username (example: jsmith321) and the password you set when activating your SSO account.

Your secure online document center.
Etrieve replaces paper forms and makes it easy to manage college paperwork from any device. Whether you’re submitting a financial aid form, updating your contact info, or applying for graduation, Etrieve keeps everything organized in one place.

Login Reminder: Etrieve uses your Viking ID and SSO password—just like Canvas and MyGOCC.

This is your student portal. Use MyGOCC to:
- Register for classes
- View your schedule, grades, and unofficial transcript
- Monitor your financial aid and account balance.
- Update personal contact information
