A Flexible Payment Option for Students Using GI Bill® Benefits

Glen Oaks Community College is proud to support our military-connected students by offering a deferred tuition payment plan through Nelnet Campus Solutions. This option is specifically for students using certain chapters of the GI Bill® and allows you to delay your tuition payment until after the semester ends—giving you the flexibility to focus on your education without financial pressure upfront.

If the VA Deferred Payment Plan activates after the semester concludes, a $10 activation fee will be automatically withdrawn from the payment account you provide during enrollment.

Who Is Eligible?

You may qualify for the deferred payment plan if you are eligible for one of the following VA education benefits:

  • Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill® – Active Duty
  • Chapter 1606: Montgomery GI Bill® – Selected Reserve
  • Chapter 32: Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)
  • Chapter 35: Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program (DEA)

If you’re unsure whether your benefits qualify, we encourage you to connect with our VA Academic Advisor before enrolling.

Not Eligible?

Students who do not qualify for the deferred payment option may still take advantage of the standard Nelnet payment plan, which offers flexible monthly installments.
