Motorcycle Safety Basic Rider Course (BRC)
Start Smart. Ride Safe. Earn Your Endorsement.
No Experience Needed | Bike & Helmet Provided | Endorsement Eligible
The Basic Rider Course is your first step into the world of motorcycling. Designed for beginners or riders with limited experience, this hands-on class teaches the core skills and knowledge needed to operate a motorcycle safely and confidently.
Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll receive a completion certificate accepted by the Michigan Secretary of State, allowing you to waive both the written and riding tests required for your motorcycle endorsement.
Michigan License Requirement
Michigan law requires riders to have a motorcycle (CY) endorsement on their driver’s license to operate both two- and three-wheel motorcycles on public roads. Completing the Basic Rider Course satisfies the state’s testing requirement, allowing you to apply for your endorsement without additional written or road exams.
