New Student Orientation
Admissions
Your First Step to Success at Glen Oaks
New Student Orientation helps you feel confident and prepared for your journey as a Viking. All new degree- or certificate-seeking students are required to complete orientation—whether you're coming straight from high school, returning after a break, or transferring from another college.
Orientation is completed online and includes everything you need to get started.
What to expect at New Student Orientation
Why do I have to do a New Student Orientation?
All new students to Glen Oaks are required to complete the New Student Orientation process. There are exceptions (guest students from another college, personal interest students), though we advise all students to expect to complete New Student Orientation. If you would like to know if you are required to do this step, you can contact the Admissions office and they will be able to provide you with an answer.
What to Expect
Step 1: Complete Online Orientation

- Once finished, submit the completion form at the end.
Step 2: Connect with an Advisor
After you complete orientation, the Admissions team will contact you with next steps
